As sweet and cheerful as her pieces, Marie exudes poetry with a grain of nostalgia: nostalgia from the north of France, from which she originates, and nostalgia of large spaces and nature.
In her workshop in Desvres, she creates unique and original porcelain pieces. Depending on her inspiration of the moment and the desired effects, Marie employs diverse techniques such as pinching, coiling… She has a preference for slips which she handles with great virtuosity.
Each of her pieces reflect emotions felt when immersed in nature and urban spaces: graphic signs, the energy of color, pigmented materials and a trace of molding imprints.
In her hands, porcelain becomes something colorful, sleek, raw, joyful, graphic, imperfect, and plainly sublime.
