Clever and malicious with their flat caps fastened on their heads, Tom and Romain have the allure and kindness of old-timer Gavroches.
As childhood friends, they then each followed their own path: Romain in the apprenticeship of silkscreen printing, and Tom with graphic design. From their synergy emerged a common passion: silkscreen printing, which they experimented with during evenings and on the weekend. In 2010 they took a leap and created Fwells workshop in Paris’ 13th arrondissement.
Through pure hand-craft tradition, Tom and Romain concentrate themselves on fine-tuning. They play on the power of ink’s density, and ‘surf’ on frames. Once the object is printed it becomes a unique piece made with remarkable quality.
For Bureau Patio, they were able to preserve the finesse of original pieces, skilfully play with tonalities, and give a perfect regularity to the rendering of each piece. The result is an undeniable technical ability.
Fwells workshop, created by Tom and Romain, is specialized in artisanal silkscreen printing, on any type of flat surface.
